Sunday 27th April - walks **** – Hemley circuit – sunny, warm with light winds.

Woke to clear blue sky’s and light winds so Mg and I had a nice morning in the quiet back garden, exercises in the sun for me while Mag pottered including sorting out the shed with the only noise being the pigeons and blackbird on the feeder! I didn’t make the picnic until one and we drove away from the very busy coast, we can’t stand crowds! We had lunch parked in front of the lovely Hemley church watching a wagtail in the potato field with buzzards overhead. We then did the short circular walk down to the River Deben, there was loads of dinghies out over towards Waldringfield, we make a small detour to sit on a tender by the river before continuing onto Kirton Creek and back along the lovely hedgerow path away from the river! It was then a 8 mile ride back to Felixstowe checking out the seafront, the clifftop car park was busy and a lone windsurfer, David Coles was out on his longboard but the wind was very light and it didn’t look like much fun to me, then home for the usual cuppa and cake and watch loads of TV reminiscing about the 70.s, definitely my era!
